The International Axe Throwing Federation (IATF)

(9.1) Representation Breakdown

All participating member organizations will send through a percentage of competitors equal to the percentage of total league members they field in a calendar year throughout the membership of the IATF:

  • Only the league members of participating organizations will count towards this equation:
    • For instance, if there are 6000 league members across all organizations in the IATF, then after 5 seasons in the year there would be 30,000 league members in the pool of IATF representation:
      • If organization “Z” represents 6000 of those league members, and chooses not to participate for any reason, then those 6000 league members would be removed from the equation;
      • If all other organizations participate, then there are 24,000 league members in the equation;
      • e.g. If organization “A” represents 12,000 league members, then they would represent 50% of all participating IATF leagues;
        • That means organization “A” throwers will represent 50% of those 192 competitors in the final round of the tournament;
        • 50% of 192 competitors is 96 competitors;
      • Therefore, organization “A” will send their top 96 competitors from the preliminary round to the final round of the tournament.
        • In the case of a decimal point percentage, the IATF will round up or down accordingly to match the 192 throwers in the final round.
